Welcome to Lough Cutra Castle, we are located on the shores of Lough Cutra, our own private lake. Just a short distance from Galway City and conveniently located to Shannon International Airport we can host any event you wish.

Lough Cutra Castle and Estate has a long and varied history with both highs and lows, including famine relief to the billeting of soldiers, a period as a convent and life as a private home. It was designed by John Nash who worked on Buckingham Palace, and was visited by guests such as Lady Augusta Gregory and WB Yeats.

Lough Cutra Castle is not a hotel but is available for rental on a self-catering basis. The accommodation consists of nine bedrooms sleeping 17 persons (6 x Double, 2 x Twin, 1x Single) with eight bathrooms servicing the bedrooms. Our castle is available for special occasions like weddings, corporate gatherings, meetings, film locations, weekends, Summer vacations or Christmas parties. It is also available for hire as a whole on a nightly or weekly basis. We do not provide in-house catering, however, our staff can provide details of businesses who have successfully catered for previous events held in the Castle. Our function room can hold up to 180 persons. Whatever the event every hiring of the Castle is always on an exclusive basis!

Lough Cutra Castle is available for long rental periods if required. We also have three self-catering cottages available for rent, which are located in the Castle grounds. An advantage of our location means that we can guarantee privacy and the utmost discretion for our discerning guests. We pride ourselves on being able to offer our guests what they want!
